Do you want to build an information system for the public on environmental pollution? Resources totalling more than EUR 60 million from the European Regional Development Fund are available in the Operational Programme Environment (OPE) for such purposes.
The aim of support is to limit industrial pollution and to reduce environmental risks.
When to Apply for Grants
Your grant application can be submitted only during calls announced for a specific area of intervention. According to the preliminary plan, a call to submit applications for grants for projects concerning the limiting of industrial pollution and environmental risks shall be announced in August or September, 2008. An updated schedule of calls is available at http://www.opzp2007-2013.cz/.
However, the schedule is provided for information only and is subject to changes, the actual application submission dates, as well as partial limitations of areas of intervention, will always be published together with each actual call.
Who Can Apply for Grants
Municipalities and towns, regions, non-profit organisations, contributory organisations, state organisations, state enterprises, universities, public research institutions, business-carrying entities, business organisations, administrators of river basins and watercourses, operators of the flood service forecasting system can apply for grants. - 5.1 Limiting industrial pollution - Almost EUR 61 million have been reserved for this area.
Amount of Support
- Grants up to 90% of a project's total eligible expenses.
- A project's minimum amount of eligible expenses has been set at CZK 0.5 million.

- Creating BAT centres for individual industrial activity categories.
- Technologies for monitoring and limiting industrial pollution.
- Creating a regional information system of severe accident prevention.
- The construction and modernisation of facilities to reduce the risk of and limit severe accidents consequences.
- The construction of infrastructure for the REACH programme.
